“TransPort” at Schiphol

The new headquarter of transavia.com and Martinair “TransPort” at Amsterdam airport Schiphol-East is the most sustainable building in the Netherlands.
The ”TransPort” building is a winner of the Dutch Building Prize 2011 (de Nederlandse Bouwprijs 2011) in the category Sustainable integrated design, construction, use and maintainance. It uses all modern techniques, but in combination with traditional materials. The office building has 456 solar pannels on top of the roof, utilizes the rain water for women’s toilets, gets maximum solar benefits due to glazing.
